Record Store Day - April 16, 2016

Last year I did not go to Celebrated Summer Records until the day after RSD, and they still had a few of the things on my list (but still slim pickings). 

They open at 11AM, and I probably can get there by 1PM this time so I am hoping they still have a good amount of stock. 

I have good record mailers (at one point I was thinking about selling off my late 90s/early 00s DJ records) and can send them off Monday.  I take it everyone uses PayPal.

I did not get there until 3pm... The woman basically laughed when I asked if any Bowie or Phish records were left (they went quick).

Sadly I could not get one of the NoFX singles... I ended up grabbing the Celebrated Summer Records/Wildhoney collaborative release (I have all three that they did so far) and the Metz/Swami John Reis single.

i got mine at smash about two hours ago, they had quite a few with no line, unlike crooked beat with a 30 minute wait

My friend's haul... She scored 2 different Bowie releases, and Superchunk... The Talking Heads and Faith no More releases are cool, not sure I would have bought the other two though (sorry Joan!).

I have been listening to various RSD releases online and was planning on writing up my thoughts on each (I believe I found like 25 of them so far) tomorrow or Tuesday.

This Record Store Day release is an alternate mix of the Clouds Taste Metallic album featuring ex-Flaming Lips guitarist, Ronald Jones. Contains an original comic written and illustrated by Wayne Coyne.

This must be for Ronald Jones and the Flaming Lips fanatics only.  I listened to a couple tracks and they were ok but a full play-through is not happening right now.  NEXT.
