To be clear, the FCC has determined that a person on television cannot be “misleading” about “facts”.

It’s an interesting issue. To play devils advocate. A company can decide what its people can or can’t say, right? Where it gets complicated is when  they decide one way or another based on government threats (and particularly in a media company).

But Foxnews lies constantly and nobody cares and their defense in court was they provide entertainment….not tell the truth. I mean it’s hard to argue that Foxnews is not more misleading than Kimmel.

Of course I wish companies had more of a backbone but the real culprit here are Trump and his minions who are acting like a Ministry of Propaganda in Moscow or Beijing.

I shall not attempt to define what is ‘misleading’ and what is a ‘fact’ but I know it when I see it!
