Just annonced
Rep. Don Beyer @RepDonBeyer
NEW: Governor Northam just issued a mandatory stay-at-home order.

The order is effective today and says that Virginia residents must not leave their homes unless it’s for an essential purpose.

“Do not go out unless you need to go out.” — @GovernorVA

A stay at home order is issued for Virginians by @GovernorVA  effective today, following similar action in Maryland. Residents should not leave their homes unless it’s for essential purposes. The order is place until June 10, 2020.

the maryland state at home order (which is pretty much what we have already been doing) expires when the state of emergency expires..so no date.

likely july or august

economy is fucked.  30% unemployment almost certainly.  At what point will society start to collapse?

we have a choice: economic collapse with most of the population healthy; vs. economic collapse with most of the population sick (and a very high number dead).
