Hives Virtual World Tour: https://www.brooklynvegan.com/the-hives-announce-world-wide-web-world-tour-2021/
I'm sorry, but The Hives are a band to see live with a crowd bouncing and singing along ...I just don't know how you can recreate that
THis to me is not
  • You will be able to send in audio messages and they will be played for The Hives in the room in real-time. As if you were in the crowd shouting!
    • We will be accepting telephone calls!
    • You will vote on a selection of songs we include in the set!

this was of note tho..Frontman Howlin' Pelle Almqvist had COVID earlier this year but has recovered

I will probably attend the virtual Hives; also there is a fun Hives live at 3rd man records available if you are into the whole vinyl thing.

NADA SURF ANNOUNCES THE WEIGHT IS A GIFT 15th ANNIVERSARY LIVESTREAM

In 2005, Nada Surf released their follow-up to the seminal album Let Go. Titled The Weight Is A Gift, it quickly became a classic in its own right. Recently, we discovered a vintage broadcast of a stellar show from The Weight Is A Gift tour's February 2006 stop at Los Angeles' Henry Fonda Theater. Barsuk and Nada Surf are pleased to present free livestreams of the original broadcast, in all its non-widescreen glory, on Monday December 21st at 4pm ET / 1pm PT at Nada Surf's Facebook Page and on Tuesday, December 22nd at 4pm ET / 1pm PT at Nada Surf's YouTube Page.

Both events will be joined by members of the band chatting – reminiscing, answering your questions, chatting about the album and the tour – and will provide an option to contribute to their fund supporting the hard-working members of their touring crew whose livelihood continues to be threatened by the ongoing pandemic... so don't miss it!

Also, if you haven't had the chance yet, you can still order a special limited-edition 15th Anniversary pressing of The Weight Is A Gift on exclusive white vinyl from our friends at Bandbox. Each order comes with a full-color, 16-page Nada Surf zine packed with band interviews, rare photos and more!

well, that isn't a live event we can experience live, and it's not from the time of COVID, but otherwise - yeah, sure, why not.

My first Wilco exposure was this BT tour at the 9:30 club and have been huge fan ever since  (although did like UT a bit before too)

so been seeing a lot of bands posting live club dates in Europe starting Feb 2021
do they know something I don't?

Wondering about those April 2021 dates in the states
and that they are actually not going to happen

see...there we go...rapid testing before a show, 1000 people got rapid tested (15 min wait time) and couldn't be admitted unless they were negative

I could see this happening at concerts, office buildings, schools, airports

there was an optimistic tid-bit in there

Last week, the president of Live Nation, Joe Berchtold, said that he felt “very good” about the prospect of traditional live music returning next summer.

Did find some more info..
https://www.archytele.com/primacov-the-clinical-trial-promoted-by-primavera-sound-successfully-begins-its-first-phase/
1,042 People participated last Saturday in the clinical trial of the Apolo hall with rapid tests to validate the celebration of concerts without social distance. The results of the study will be known in mid-January:

Hopefully, this will help some of our favorite DC venues

D.C. entertainment venues can apply for financial relief from D.C.'s Bridge Fund starting today. The city has $29.5 million to dole out to live music venues, movie theaters, private museums, nightclubs, theaters and other entertainment venues.
