you don't need a ticket, you don't need a plane, train or automobile. you don't anything more than you have right now.
just come back here on May 19th @ 8PM EST and we'll all celebrate the birth, life, and music of Joey Ramone together! (donations to the Joey Ramone Foundation for Lymphoma Research will be optional and greatly appreciated)

It is easier to rationalize at $2/week....I am probably going to do it.

Watched the Joey Ramone Birthday Bash and it was pretty good, a couple segments have muted audio due to Facebook copyright restrictions.  Best bit is around 20:00 where Alan Askush director or Rock n' Roll Highschool recalls a great Ramones and Grateful Dead Story.

I saw some kerfuffle (maybe last night?? yesterday?? in the past 72 hrs) online that people are speculating that Ryan Adams has multiple troll accounts set up online to bash Phoebe.

Yup!  Fun story and terrific NYC and music references.

Alice Smith is doing a series of online shows.

May 29 and 30, and June 3, 5 and 6!
First I’ll do the entire For Lovers, Dreamers & Me album. Then I will be featuring a few of our crowned singers, Anita Baker on the 30th, Nina Simone on the 3rd.

For the 4th show it will be  Whitney Houston on June 5

Then finally my usual yet fabulous Alice Smith show on the 6th. Tickets will be available to purchase individually or as a bundle - link in bio! Tell yo friends and get yo tickets!!!!

https://vip.alicesmith.com/event

It's a ticketed event and you get 48 hours to see it once.  I'm up for her material, not sure about the rest...

A new Wilco song called "Tell Your Friends" is available for immediate download with a charitable contribution. Donations will go directly to World Central Kitchen, an organization working across America to safely distribute fresh meals in communities that need support.

I'll say that I was completely burnt out on Wilco for many many years... but after finishing Tweedy's book last week mixed with watching him on his wife's stream a few nights a week, I'm slowly trying to get back on board. I'm still having a hard time liking really any album from the past five years or so, minus the Tweedy double album.
