That was me.  Seemed pretty obvious at the time.  Has to be a grand statement for any reopening.

Sorta have to pick a specific show....harder to do as they aren’t announced

Then whomever said Dave Grohl and the Foos at some unknown date is the winner.  Seth is nothing if not predictable...
Agreed. He has a very specific set of things he likes.
well then a Minor Threat reunion would be a pretty grand statement!

Why won't you, let me me have this fantasy.

OK.  Smiths reunion opening up for Daft Punk in December.  We're all going to be there and we're staying on the HatchYacht, which is also going to make a glorious return.  Pizza and cheap beer on me!
Comically oversized bottle of Belvedere that no one will actually drink on me!

Sorry, I was kind of being sober for awhile.

All we know for sure is no shows in DC until June 8....

The Foo Fighters seem into playing stadiums....so I don’t see that

Honestly due to the challenges of reopening music venues with probable new rules on many things one would think the first show(s) after reopening might be smaller/calmer affairs than balls to the walls rawk out shows

Maximizing revenue might not be the main determinant

I thought CNCO or whatever was next but weird when you click on buy tickets it says cancelled

So next possible show at Anthem is 7-11 Kraftwerk

This is one I am looking forward to!

I mean, is Kraftwerk gonna be substantially different from their shows at 930 or Strathmore? They were great both times, but the Anthem just seems like a more expensive version of the same thing.

Of course but

1. I bailed on that 930 show and have never seen what’s left of Kraftwerk
2. Every few years usually one wants to see their favorites..who remembers a show from years past that well? And it’s always fun to go to concerts and hear classics

actually, I want to go to that kraftwork show if it happens...was waiting for day of firesale was my plan
my tagline more had to do with the anthem

I think it would be a fun show
there is currently a dead center 3rd row seat for $170 on ticketbastard or $90 to be with the steerage

I had front row at Strathmore, and I'd say even 3rd row is a little close for that show.  You don't get much from seeing their faces or catching some of their spittle.  The huge screen is a visual spectacle that should be enjoyed from 15 rows back.

So king and country, coheed, Radiohead dude or king gizzard

My thinking King and country and thom won’t happen..king and country two sold out shows on same day impossible with capacity constraints that will be imposed..thom yorke won’t do a show for 2000-3000 people and I don’t know tickets will even ever go on sale

That leaves coheed and gizzard

Anthem may just start with a low key local band show in September ..something not yet announced...white ford bronco might fit

Of course skyrocketing covid case numbers in other states threaten everything

As far as Merriweather this would seem to indicate August shows are out..no Wilco/sleater or H&Oates

They could be pushed back but bands are going to have a rough time rescheduling if they had an entire tour planned...

So I think it’s all up in the air

thom yorke won’t do a show for 2000-3000 people

thom yorke played paramount in seattle on this tour (all tomorrow's boxes), which seats 2,807.  the tour is only playing theaters and large clubs.  in NYC he's playing the hammerstein, capacity 2,200 (but i think that's all seated, so a GA floor might bring it up closer to 3,000).  EagleBank arena was an outlier on the tour.  the show was going to be in the half-court formation, which looks to hold 5-6k.

Ok fair enough but tickets have been listed as going on sale soon for months

And the show was moved..

I hate to be skeptical but I think the promoter just doesn’t want to give the money back yet and show will eventually be cancelled
