I went with New York Dolls, Tina Turner, Devo, The Go-Go's, Iron Maiden

Dione and Carol king were in the running, but decided to go with artists i like instead

I hate the lRnRHoF but am curious why the Dolls are on your lists. Certainly not for their catalog or enduring legacy, both of which are lacking.

catalog...yes it is somewhat thin, but some solid gems in there
Legacy...gigantic, from punk, new wave, hair metal, fashion and so many other things cite them in their origin story

I think the catalog is razor thin. It's the debut....and not much else. Though a single album discography hasn't been a disqualifier in the past.

Legacy?  Maybe.  I think the Dolls, like the Melvins (an unfair comparison, but bear with me), may have paved the way for others who got way more time in the spotlight.  Perhaps, in the Dolls' case, the acts that followed were actually better.

Me, I'd rather listen to LAMF than the Dolls' debut.
