on my last day off, work from home much needed break (which also helped me get back into playing a video game after more than a year of quitting them all) one of the things i thought of was the topic of this thread.  what bands represent who i am, if there are any really, as a person and the way i think?  how do they speak to me as a person and why does it feel as if they are part of me through represention.  to put it into list form of only ten was incredibly difficult as i stood before my collection going through bands that, "yes i have everything they've done, i try to see them or their submembers live."  and there were a lot of groups i passed on, like the beatles or radiohead, that fall into those standards . . . but the ten could only hold the ones that exceed mere incredible talents to listen to and love and rise up into those which become the psychology of you.  yes . . . i was that bored for a few hours.  hopefully, others will find this as a perfect chance to air out their subconscious secrets, in the forms of bands and their songs.

in no particular order of preference:

dinosaur jr
the orb
phish
dead kennedys
flaming lips
ween
widespread panic
pearl jam
pink floyd
bob dylan

Given your above criteria, does this mean that you go to Sebadoh shows, too? :)

i'll give this a shot. i thought about this a bit and this may change a bit through time, but as of now, this is what i've come up with.

underworld
radiohead
public image limited
nine inch nails
ulrich schnauss
bark psychosis
joy division
the brian jonestown massacre
sigur ros
gary numan

other candidates included spacemen 3, the flaming lips, throbbing gristle, aphex twin, the cure, massive attack, and brmc. but that's an interesting thing to think about.

No. Beautiful people.

Or "She's/He's/They're a 10 but..." jokes.
