Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)

I like that song!

Unaware of this thread, my wife announced at dinner that she had a terrible song in her head and asked us to guess it.

I guessed We Didn't Started thr Fire.

My daughter guessed Baby Shark.

And apparently my mind-reading kid was right.

Sunkee Angel - "Upfront"

Please, do not, repeat do not, listen at work, in front of your family, or your good friends.

I'd argue that Billy Joel has written far, far worse songs than "You May Be Right". Is it an abomination? I'd argue that "We Didn't Start The Fire" or "The Longest Time" are atrocities that should be banished into a black hole. Anything remotely awful that I abhor (pretty much anything from the "Cocktail" soundtrack, Starship, etc.) that I accidentally hear usually means my brain gets a cleanse with "Bazooka Joe" by Big Black, "Nervous Breakdown" by Black Flag or "Green Light" by Sonic Youth.

The worst song in history, according to Steve Albini. Though it looks like the artist might beat him into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I can relate
Although I might choose we built this city over anything in the Cher catalog

And that dose of despair is one he has never recovered from since, every time he hears the wail of ‘Believe’, he’s left with the sickening weight of a dystopia descending unchecked – often celebrated, even – in a world gone awry, blinded by catchiness, and ludicrous headwear

It Takes Two-Rob Base

I hated this song when it was popular. It has never grown on me.

Note: The only time you will have hear this song is at a Wizards game.

It grew on me and it has the greatest downbeat in popular music history.

Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out of My Head

opening lyrics:

La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la

This thread is horrible.
I regret every single time I open it and read the song and then can’t get out of my head.
