D.C. attorney general sues Daniel Snyder, Commanders, NFL
The office of D.C. Attorney General Karl A. Racine (D) said Thursday it filed a consumer protection lawsuit against the Washington Commanders, Daniel Snyder, the NFL and Commissioner Roger Goodell, accusing them of colluding to deceive and mislead customers about an investigation of the team’s workplace to maintain the franchise’s fan base in pursuit of revenue.

My initial question on this was “how do DC residents have standing on this” and the ESPN article attempts to answer:

Racine said his office has jurisdiction to sue because the District of Columbia's consumer-protection law is broad and covers any material misstatement that a business or merchant makes that could affect consumers in the district. He said the district is filing a civil complaint because his office does not have criminal jurisdiction on the matter.

This seems tenuous at best to me but I will allow one of the board’s actual attorneys to opine. Perhaps HoyaSaxa will take some time off of train law and reappear and give us some insight from London!

Congress Slams Dan Snyder and the N.F.L. for Impeding Sexual Harassment Investigation
A congressional committee said the N.F.L. “has not protected workers from sexual harassment and abuse” and found that Snyder, the Commanders owner, went to great lengths to interfere in workplace inquiries.

He is extremely polarizing. I think he’s refreshing — this particular comment aside. “Premature snapulation” and “Orgy in the end zone” are first ballot HoF calls.

Absolutely ruined the franchise and pocketed a profit of over $5B.  Pretty good deal.

Interested to see how he revives his image now as he inevitably becomes ‘Dan Snyder, philanthropist’

I believe it’s spelled “full-on rapist.”

Must be nice. Run a franchise into the ground and make more than $5 billion.

He'll be as much a philanthropist as trump is.
