I walked into CbGbs, walked straight, used bathroom and walked out.

I actually saw a show there, but it wasn't until the 90's. The bands sucked and the place was pretty nasty. I think maybe someone I knew knew someone in one of the bands.

If you forced me to wear one of those silly biking shirts I see bikers riding with, I'd choose the CBGB's over Snickers or Frosted Flakes.

Bad Brains, Cromags, Warzone, murphys law, token entry, gorilla biscuts and sick of it all were all regulars

Sonic Youth, Pussy Galore, Dinosaur Jr. early beastie boys, pixies, replacements, living color, soundgarden all played early shows there

even John Zorn was playing there in the 80s

by the 90s it was pretty meh
of course the mid 70s would have been epic, but I was only 4-8
 if I had a time machine, I would likely pick that era first
