I mean, my assumption is that Nov 4th means today is the last day vs. When the clock struck midnight last night.

However,  it's abundantly clear that it's a pointless move and will only hurt things in the long run.

Who made this decision?

my attempt at creating more forum tomfoolery is still a work in progress, hoping to get the SSL cert on it soon.  having webhosting space and domain names available figured it was a better alternative then a smelly FB group.  and yes apologies to The Cure for it's current name.
