no, i'm implying that the girlfriend jeans that you used to squeeze in to don't fit anymore.  certainly the case with me...

100% agreed - but the issue is that the place is packed like a rock concert.  you can't dance comfortably in that situation.  if they let in half as many people, there would be lots of room to dance and i'd be thrilled with a justice show.  and i probably wouldn't notice the lack of a stage show.  as i said before: justice, in their current form, belong in a dance club or a warehouse - they're a DJ act, not a rock concert.

impressive, considering that the board has only been in existence since 1999!

I was gonna giev my ticket away and go to MSTRKRFT but after seeing the show with 2 friends Sunday I can only imagine it being 100 times better with a group of friends. I have faith in MSTRKRFT to come back before the end of the year though. And at a better venue. Maybe diamonds tour o8, ya never know.

They'll never be a rock concert, and believe me this will suffice. At least it did at Sonar. WHen they drop their "Skitzo Dancer" remix, the place should erupt.

Oh, man, that was the case earlier this year. January 1st, I had ballooned up to 198 pounds because I couldn't jog, and the holidays and etc. I was disgusting. But since then, I've went back to my jogging regimen and watching more closely what I've been eating and got back down to 172, so they fit again, and fairly comfortably. I still have about 6 pounds to go to get to my ideal weight of 166.

What I really need to do is resume tanning, though. I'm pasty as all get out.

Jogging is a silly exercise or mode of weight reduction.  I once made fun of a gal pal for jogging and years later she was mentioned in the pages of this village's local paper for having broken her ankle.

Pure cardio alone isn't going to do as much as cardio plus gaining lean muscle-mass, but if you jog 5-8 miles a day, 5 days a week, you're going to lose weight (as part of a diet and exercise regimen).

you don't like the music and you don't like the crowds, yet you ARE coming to the show.  obviously you are drawn by the spectacle.  we didn't hear you talk about the comfortable dancing at the MEN show last friday at the black cat, which was 1/4 - 1/5 of capacity.

I don't dispute that much jogging will melt pounds over a sedentary lifestyle.  I've dropped ten pounds since college and 3-5 inches on the waist by cutting soda, watching carbs and lifting regularly, like once or twice a week, and running 0 miles.  I suspect my body isn't the only one that will respond this way to said regime.

Jogging, like marathons and Whole Foods, is a Stuff White People Like, eg it's a cultural fetish of the white herd but not necessarily the optimal thing to do.

I can't argue with the science of what you've had to say, but I can tell you, with jogging I've been able to maintain a weight of around 170 pounds for years and when I tweaked my ankle and couldn't run for 3 months, gained over 25 pounds. When I resumed jogging and tightened up only slightly on what I was eating, I lost said weight almost as quickly as I'd gained it.

Is it the most effective weight-loss technique? Probably not. Is it more effective when coupled with weight lifting and other things? Sure. But what I do works for me, so I'm happy with it, and not advocating anyone stop what they're doing and switch over to it. Just sayin'.

Gotta respect that.  I only make fun of close friends when they tell me they have to go home early on Friday night so they can put in their X miles 6 AM Saturday morning, or people who hit me to sponsor them in a charity race.  Runner chicks are cute, and there are running clubs and running and drink clubs.  You can't socialize with the few chicks who lift in the weight room.   ;)
