You mean the best of the four or five all female bands that anyone has ever heard of? Wow, what an honor.

and possibly some of the best song writing i've ever heard.

Just started listening to music last Thursday, eh? Welcome.

I would like to be more specific in my response, but I can't listen to One Beat because I'd rather drink paint that buy an S-K album. But a check of the lyrics tell me all I need to know. This is rock?

Well put Relaxer.

I'll raise a glass of paint with you. What color do you want?

Actually, I'd say "Call the Doctor" beats that one.  But my favorite is their original, eponomous album released on Chainsaw (as opposed to Kill Rock Stars, where they are now).  Nothin' like their original manhating rock from back in the lezzie days...

Also, they're *from* Olympia.  They just all live in Portland now.

 Just LISTEN TO 'ONE BEAT'.

P.S.  I'm going to be there... at both... as soon as tickets go onsale.

I was going to make the above clarification as well.

And *I* think the best album is Dig Me Out.  Shows how many fabu albums they have, despite the naysayers!  [I'll bet Relaxer has some albums I think are wretched....don't we all....]

Enjoy your paint, losers.

 I'd rate the S-K albums:

 Dig Me Out
 The Hot Rock
 One Beat
 Call The Doctor
All Hands on the Bad One
 S/T

Thanks Jag.

Since it's S-K, we're talking about, it should probably be a sexless, drab shade of brown.

 I'll do my own rating.

 1. Everything in the history of recorded sound, except Creed and Sleater-Kinney
 2. Creed 'Human Clay'
 3. Creed 'Weathered'
 4. Sleater-Kinney (tie) 'Dig Me Out; The Hot Rock; One Beat; Call The Doctor; All Hands on the Bad One; S/T'

So looks like we won't be meeting at the back bar for drinks before or after the S-K show, huh, Relaxer.  MAN that bums me out...     :p

So what are some of *your* favorite bands?

I can't go to both -- too much going on.  But I would.  It makes perfect sense to me to do so!

Plus, this is just a mini warmup tour, right?  I think they'll be back this year.
