For United, check your regional sports network.  I plan on recording FSN West.

Barca/Inter is being carried on Fox Sports Espanol and is not available in HD on DirecTV, thus no HD feed.

Agreed.  Inter Barca not in HD is a crime.

642 is your CSN right?  It's listed as being in HD.

The Premier League has announced that from next season every team must name a squad of 25 players, of which eight must be home grown.

"As of next season clubs will be required to have a squad named of up to 25 players, of which no more than 17 can be over the age of 21 and not home grown.

"The definition of home grown is trained for three years under the age of 21 by somebody in the English and Welsh professional system. Clubs will have to declare their 25 at the end of August when the window shuts and then again at the end of January.

i'm going to have to take this back. i've been reading that its a light rule designed to prevent uefa from imposing a stricter rule, so i'm all for it

Oops - Le Arse St. Germain are fucked.....no?

I like the rule but would've increased the number to 10 andincluded the republic of Ireland with the "home grown" countries. Is scotland included? Not that there's any talent of note that comes from up there apart from Fletch.

No, it's actually designed to curb the high profile transfer spending.  As long as Le Arse continue to get guys before they turn 18 into their system, they're fine under the rule.

It's Chelsea and the new Man City that could be in trouble.  Maybe El Pool as well.

i think i read that chelsea had 8 and liverpool has 7 this year

its got to be a boon for the academies in the uk though. its good for the toon too, theyve bought teen agers the past few years

id imagine that scotland and the republic are not included because they have their own leagues, but they could not exclude wales because of cardiff, swanzea, ect

You'd think they'd be all for it with United having dominated England with home grown talent....Giggs-Scholes-Beckham-Neville x2-Ferdinand-Rooney-......etc etc etc....the list is goes on
