Honestly I was never that into this music much but I was always impressed by the massive tape trading underground scene that went along with death metal or whatever you want to call it. I had some high school friends in a band (really of no consequence locally...i don't even remember their name) but they would get mail from all over the world.....just through their tapes being copied and mailed again and again.
