Unfortunatley, no place in the US...inferior product over here for some reason. For pricing reasons I would guess. [/b]
You know, I believe you.  I have a 15 year old pair from London, a 10 year old pair from Ireland, and a 4 year old pair from Madison, Wisconsin.  Only the Madison pair had problems; the sole fell out.  grrrrrrrrr

Think this means I must travel to Europe!!

If you have to get some there is a punk store in Fells point that has a good selection.

 Or there is here:

Try www.sportsmansguide.com
Not the best selection but if you check frequently you can find some good deals. I've gotten 3 or 4 pair from them, all for less than $50. Plus they don't rip you off too hard on shipping.  I'll say again... not consistently the best selection! But since Docs make up such a key part of my footwear closet, I find it's worth checking!

Samantha's right (as usual?  heh), it's obviously a put-on... that totally earnest first respondent who replies to the alleged robbery victim by saying "You sound like an overpriveledged, rich-ass, shallow-ass, poser fucker who got what he deserved" comes off looking like an idiot for not recognizing the fact that that's the whole point.  It's fake!

Anyway, Black Cat literature has become an internet sub-genre all of its own.   For the most disturbing of this genre, check out THIS Craigslist post.  You'll never feel entirely comfortable in the Red Room again.  (And maybe you'll think twice about fucking someone you meet on Friendster!)

Oh, and so you're not comfortable going to the bathroom at the Black Cat either, check out the (alleged) pornographic adventures of Black Cat bathroom denizens on Friendster (add blackcatbathroom@yahoo.com).
