I think you should have mentioned K-os in the blurb about the Handsome Boy Modeling School show.

Hip hop isn't really my thing, but the few tracks of K-os that I've heard on WOXY were quite good, musically.  Plus he's Canadian, so you would have gotten bonus points from sonick.

With all this Ryan Adams talk, it reminds me that you forgot to mention this one.

Ex-Whiskeytown guitarist's Phil Wandescher's haunting guitar, combined with Jesse Sykes' dark, soulful voice make Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter a much more interesting act than Ryan Adams, Caitlin Cary, or any of the other ex-members of Whiskeytown. See them make their DC area headlining debut at Iota on Sunday. I would, but my Mom is visiting this weekend.

Could you please provide us all a list of bands that are acceptable to dig (dislike), and another list that we are required to dig (like)?

most stations are, yes.  its like 30% or something.  but its not quite so bad. most kids in Canada (that i knew) tended to like Canadian bands the most anyway.  Sort of like a "home team" kind of thing.

it wasnt all good though, imagine hearing Tom Cochrane's "Life Is A Highway" every 30 minutes of your life for the entire 8th grade!!!!!!!
