The first, only, and last time I had Tastee Diner food was after seeing the Cows at the Black Cat.  That was the longest drive of my life getting BACK to college.

Doubtful on the alcohol outside, but the AFI does sell wine and beer inside.

Parking is available at the Lee Building for $3, but Metro may be easier.

Mayorga Coffee Co on Georgia (8040 Georgia Ave) is a better bet.

Did this come with the revitalization?

It's actually been there for a few years. Half Moon BBQ on Georgia (GA & Thayer) is another good place. Or the Quarry House for burgers. Or Mi Rancho (behind Tastee and very close to AFI) for Mexican.

But if it is a booze fest..... I would mmuch rather metro it. Actually with four nights in a row of going out coming up, driving tomorrow might be a good idea.

Actually, why dont you drive, and pick me up on the way?

Unless you're bringing wine in a water bottle, this won't be much of a booze fest.  As someone mentioned earlier, this is outdoors.  Think Ft. Reno with a movie screen.

I work right across from the Discovery building, so i'll probably just stay late at work and then head on over to the show.  Provided that it doesn't rain - maybe NOAA can turn off the weather for the night.

I'm going to a movie inside the theater at 7pm but will be outside for the show by 9. This is quite a full weekend...
