Okay, okay...they don't need to read the lyrics. But where's the band playing live? And why don't they make them sing the songs they've written themselves. Oh right, because they have no friggin talent whatsofuckinever, apart from a good voice, except for the one who looks like Micheal Jackson before the cosmectic surgery took his nose, who has about as much talent as my sphincter. Actually that's not true, my sphincter can hold a tune better than that douche

american idol contests made be good if you like that style of "singing", being able to open ones mouth and warbly loudly with lots of infliction and emotion just doesn't appeal to me.

I used to have a live TV talk show about pro wrestling in college.  Mostly it was just jocks calling in and calling us fags.  Good times!

And I was a seat filler at the Baltimore Arena for Monday Night Raw one time.  Got to sit in the fourth row.

I like Paul McCartney and Wings material as long as someone else is performing it... I think the Wings were high on something other than life when they recorded those albums.

When you get down to the final 24 contestants, there is a live band that plays the songs arranged by the contestant.

I check MySpace way more than a 29-year-old should.  I'm talking HOURLY when I'm at work.

I also thoroughly enjoy celebrity news and gossip.  I'd read People & US Weekly cover to cover if I had a subscription.

For Valentine's Day a few years ago, I got Smackette a yearly sub to US Weekly.  Two fold here: (1) I always have a gift for her on V-Day that auto-renews and (2) US Weekly is always lying around the house in case I want to peruse it while she watches some TV show I'm not supposed to be interested in (like..say...American Idol, the Hills, or Dirt).  But who are we kidding, I eat that shit up!

I do read them weekly at the gym. It's either them, Sports Illustrated, or Glamour. Ah, who am I kidding. I read Sports Illustrated and Glamour too.
