Actually, I don't own any of his cds right now. Though I do plan on buying some. and for your info, my parents happen to be some pretty cool old democrats. I can proudly say that back when I was a kid, my "uncool" parents took my sister and I to the 930 club a lot (meaning they would drive 3 hours to take my sister and I to a show on a school night). go ahead and be jealous haha.

You know what's sad? Yesterday I worked the polling station in my precinct for the local primaries checking people in and explaining the 'latest' method in FL for voting. Yeah yeah, I know...manc is getting all civic and shit, it was my day off and I thought why not do my bit?
 
 Anyway, in our precinct we had 1,645 registered voters and 183 people turned out to vote, a 11.12% turn out. That is just fucking pathetic. Admittedly it was only a primary but still!!! It's local politics that run the country.

I just thought your parents were reading the board, would see that you like to make out to Damien Rice CD's and they promptly took them away.  That's all.  It was in no way a comment about the hipness of your parents.
 
 My parents took me to both the first Rolling Stones Farewell tour and the first Who farewell tour from the early 80's, Bob Dylan opening for  the Grateful Dead in 1985, and both US Festivals where I fell in love with both U2 and Van Halen.  They even used to let me camp out over night for tickets.  So there.
