If you want to get nasty, put on The Birthday Party.

If you want romance, Darklands by Jesus & Mary Chain.

I don't really think of music when I'm having sex.  I don't know...I guess I'm just preoccupied with other thoughts.

But there was one time I was listening to Jeff Buckley, and a boyfriend made a surprise visit, and we happened to start heating things up, and midway we realised...once someone hears what we're listening to, there's really no question as to what's going on behind closed doors.  Jeff Buckley is trying-to-get-in-a-girl's-pants music, at the very least, for sure.

although generally, i don't want lyrics.  i like the music to suggest a mood, not dictate it via words or otherwise distract us.  i'll often reach for some electronic downtempo/chillout.  classical & flamenco guitar also works.

only exception to my no-lyrics rule: barry white.  i believe that also qualifies as trying-to-get-in-her-pants music (higher batting average than jeff buckley, tho   :p  )

This new Of Montreal album would work if you're looking for gangbang and/or S&M music.

Dude's officially gone completely off the deep end and has put his insanity and sexual depravity on display for everyone to hear.

yeah man I know what you mean. On dates I'll throw on some Air, even a bit of Portishead once in a while. End it with some ambient stuff like Ulrich Schnauss... always makes for a good time.

You always throw in that special mix you have already made long ago for just such occasions.
Or throw in some some Jandek. I also agree with Darklands.

I tell ya, this is one way technology has improved things.   Back in the day, you'd be 20 minutes into things, a girl's legs over your shoulders and just getting into a rhythmic groove, and then you'd have to stop and go to the record player and turn the record over.  Or even worse, gingerly lift the record up by the edges and put it back in its sleeve and select another one.

If the time is right, and you really want to make the night special, there is no substitute.

NIN is incredibly bro-ish, but I am the farthest thing from that. Sorry my musical knowledge hasn't had the incredible amounts of decades yours has had to expand to point of obnoxious up turned nose status.

I remember flipping the record over during my very first roll in the hay...."Walk Among Us" by The Misfits.  Ahh, the romance.

This is most assuredly for fucking not making love. Besides, who makes love anymore besides the Huxtables?
