And Tegan & Sara is my favorite so far (very tight race with Decemberists, but that T&S album is so catchy I listen to it nearly constantly...)

Doesn't that seem odd to already know and have announced?

So far so good: New Order (in a class by itself), Bloc Party (caffeine fueled fantastic), plus Ivy (average for them, but still worth a listen), m83, and the new Gorillaz, Annie (U.S. release) and Kanye West still upcoming.

 And OK, Coldplay as well...

Hi brennser - I agree. I've listened heavily and it's just not taking.

this popmatters reviewer pretty much sums up how I feel about the album

"The result is a real mixed bag. A third of the tracks sound distinctly like an edgeless Pulp. These include "Be Gone", "Like a Honeycomb", "The Land Beyond". "To Get to Sleep" even has Pulp-ish subject-matter: "Propylene across your eyes / To take me to the land of sighs." Then there are songs like "Please Stand Up" that sound like a weary Power of Dreams.

This is not to say that the songs are inherently bad but there's no denying they let us down. The potential is definitely there, but I can't help feeling that BSP have taken a step back from the promise of their first outing. "

Don't forget about my approved and highly recommended 2005 releases

 Sugarplastic - Will
De Novo Dahl - Cats and Kittens (as heard on WOXY)

Also looking forward to US releases of
 Do Me Bad Things
 The Black Velvets
 The Dead 60s

Need to get my mitts on Maximo Park, M.I.A., and listen some more to the Brazilian Girls record.
