So Butthole Surfers start at 9?

 This intrigues me.

This means they'll be done by 10:30-ish, no?

This leaves plenty of time to catch United Bible Studies and Sharron Kraus in their entirety.

I rarely go out, yet whenever there's a couple shows I want to see...they end up being on the same night.  So, on the 2nd, I can't decide between going to see The Warlocks/Black Angels vs. Bella Morte/16 Volt.  The problem with seeing Warlocks/BA is that I have never been to R&R, and I've been told not to go there alone.  This is a problem.

 I'm stuck.

I've been the to the RnR alone. No problems. But then again I'm also not a huge baby about the H Street corridor like some people are. Just be aware of your surroundings and you'll be fine.

I AM turning into a huge baby.  I have no problem going to the BC or 9:30 alone, but I've been to both places many times.  Going somewhere alone for the first time is a different story, let alone a place I've been warned about.  I've been to a lot of shady places by myself but I'm trying to be better with that, as I've had some bad experiences this year, soooo...I am turning into a bit of a tiny wussy girl.

Plus deciding between which show I want to see.  The last time I saw the Warlocks, years and years ago, I walked out cause I thought they sucked.  However I saw Bella Morte recently and though I'm not crazy about the music, they RAWKED.

I was just thinking to myself at the Times New Viking show that there are plenty more white folks in that area now than when it first opened.  Plus, that article in last week's Post about how happening the area is will probably make it much safer.

Really, it's no better or worse than the 9:30's neighborhood, although there's more people on the street which I equate with "safer."

I saw the Brides at the Black Cat.  Great band and you're right, every time I've seen them, they've always put on a fantastic show.  New songs sound good too.
