at first, i was like, "oops, i meant, 'the power of satan . . .', instead of 'the power on satan,' because that makes no sense, then i thought about it some more and realized that it was a nightlight (and yes, a small, half-dim one at that) to an idea in which, 'the power on satan . . .,' refers to money, which is was satan's power is on, and that is what finally compels you.

I'm dirty. I never wash. I got stamped once in 1998 and I've been getting in ever since.

I always wanted a woman to come up to me with her index finger touching her lips and say in a coy manner, "I've been naughty"...

I have 9:30 stamps all over my pockets, pillow and wall behind my bed from every time I forget to scrub the back of my hand after coming home from a show. Can I use those to get in?

I will say, until I discovered that nail polish takes off the 9:30 Club hand stamp, this was true for me:

Itâ??s failed because it doesnâ??t come off. Stamp ink is often water-resistant and formulated to be difficult to remove. When this sort of ink is applied in large amounts with a very well-inked rubber stamp, the result is a lasting mark of your weekend debauchery. For some clubgoers, the stamps are a very real job liability.

Though even the mail polish remover trick is a pain in the ass if you have a good manicure going at the time and you don't want to smudge it by accident.   ;)

In Portland, they used black light hand stamps for the drinking section.  Good idea because you can't see the hand stamp without the light.  Good for work the next day, lemme tell ya!

I've only ever faked a handstamp when I was under 21 to get in to the one alternative music club in St. Pete...but it was so easy -- they used frickin' sharpies!
