I think the fact that Bush got the most votes in 2004 says it all when it comes to the American people.

Yes, but in 2000 he was running against a formidable Clinton/Gore record and still got nearly as many votes. In 2004, he was running with his own records, and won more votes.

Face it, the American people are conservative by nature. The Republicans are always going to have home field advantage. Unless the black people keep having more children than white people.

There's plenty of hope.  These polls are all post convention bump.  I'm not worried.  She's going to have to speak at some point, and the Dems are prepared to talk about the issues - a battle I'm convinced we'll win and one that the voters want to hear about.

"frustration" and "concern" does not equal "nervous."

how reliable are polls these days anyway. dont you have to have a home phone and answer unknown name, unknown number calls to participate?

after realizing this last week, i have started to answer these calls. got a pollster yesterday

mccains choice of a conservative VP has made him shoot up in the polls so obviously they want to hear and vote for liberal ideas.

This election is not about the base, it's about the independents.  Each poll lists a large number of undecided's and they want to hear where each platform is on the issues.

That's how this election will be won or lost.
