My interest in football is so minimal that I booked a weekend trip to NYC on Super Bowl Weekend, not even realizing it was Super Bowl Weekend. We'll most likely be riding a bus back to DC when the Super Bowl is being played.

Don't feel bad. My birthday is always on or near Super Bowl weekend....and I HATE football. Would be great if I liked the game but in my case, it only helps to ruin any potential plans every year.

jag - me too: feb 2.  one year, when i was living in boston, my bday was the day after the pats won the super bowl.  a couple of buddies made the effort to take me out for a beer, but we were all so exhausted from our super bowl parties that we all turned in after that one bday beer.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but I was always under the impression that Rhett kind of liked Baltimore. One thing that he and Le Sonick might have in common.

 Other boardies birthdays at about that time yet just far enough away from Super Toilet Bowl are Markie, Medusa and Random Citizen. Except I think that Random too is smack right up next to the actual game day too. The 28th, is it? (Random's birthday, not the game.)

Yes, I like Baltimore, though I don't know if I'd move back given the chance. Indeed, I did see Winona Ryder beat up a homeless man there. She even spat on him and called him a porky midget.
 
 In spite of having played football in high school, I haven't watched a game since I was 19. Maybe bits and pieces of games, but not a whole game.
 
 Sonick was addressing my distaste for people wearing sports jerseys in general, not any kind of distaste for Baltimore.
