Well Sponge were from Detroit and I was going to bring them up after seeing the singers latest project in Detroit.  It would have been something like this
 
 A: Alt-Country
 
 Q: What genre does the singer of a scrunge band with a minor hit try his hand at next?
 
 Having running out of bandwagons to jump on Vinnie is the doing the Alt-Country routine with The Orbitsuns, which lose major style points for selling Trucker Hats with the bands catch phrase "Haul Ass" on them.
 
 Thing is that while the stuff he is doing is passable, it's just not very credible.  He was in  Loudhouse, a 90's Jane's Addiction clone, in the 80's it was a Duran Duran clone, and before that Death Metal. He's basically the Detroit version of Scott Weiland...

Great band (Sponge) although I must admit I thought they were from Canada.
