 I remember briefly chatting with him at a festival in Alabama about 7 years ago. Strange guy. Anybody else seen/met him?

Yeah, there was a link to the video, I think in this thread...?  It's Beatle Bob.  A friend of mine verified it from seeing him at SXSW.  I'd never heard of him, thought he was some kind of character spewing forth from Pollard's brain.

 playing bass for the band on all the upcoming US tour dates and Sam Powers (Superdrag) will be handling bass duties for the upcoming European tour.

I hope so to, but it could just be that he wanted to play guitar, they have not even said that Tim is out, maybe Nate is out and Tim will play guitar.  Who knows.
