No, I mean what I envision is walking around in my house with my laptop that is playing my mp3s. I want to have a wireless a/v connection from the laptop going to my main stereo receiver.

What I am doing right now with my TIVO is essentially what this thing does does minus the video capabiliies.  It just serves up the files on my laptop so I can access them through the TV.

Show me an affordable laptop that I can store 200 GB of mirrored data on I'll glady do it.  Otherwise, I'm content with my clunky old box (hiddem of course because it's ugly) with 200 GB mirrored storage for under $400.

One question.  Has the sound suffered due to it being wireless?  Any problems?  It says you get a remote.  Does that work in conjunction with the playlist or album that you are currently on?
