The Dog scene in Vacation.

Motorcycle Cop: Do you know what the penalty for animal cruelty is in this state?
 Clark: No, sir, I don't.
Motorcycle Cop: Well... it's probably pretty stiff.

I know I've had my 10 (11 actually), but:

The conf room scene in Office Space when the consultants asked him about the work he's been missing - "I wouldn't actually say I've been *missing* it"
 My new mantra.

& the first 15 min or so of Ferris Bueller are just brilliant. [/b]
Office Space: When he is sleeping and his boss keeps calling. When they beat up the printer.

Fight Club: When Ed Norton beats himself up. And many, many moments.

High Fidelity: When John Cusack is setting up his vinyls for inventory.  And when a customer comes into the cd store looking for...(who was it, Michael Bolton?) "Is your daughter in a coma?"

Almost Famous: When the plane is about to go down. "I'm gay."

 Clerks: 100%
 Ferris: 75%
Caddyshack: 100% "Be the ball." "You wore green so you could hide." Baby Ruth in the pool, gopher scenes, all classic.

Shawshank Redemption: When locks himself in the library and blasts music over the system.

The last 15 min. of the first Matrix.

"I Just Called to Say I love You" - a top 5 crime perpetrated by Stevie Wonder in the 80's.

Any of the music freaks on this board that haven't *read* High Fidelity should consider it required reading.

While the movie was good - the book is great.

It's perfect for the summertime. It isn't classic lit, but you should dig it.

I will refund your time if after reading it you do not agree.

I agree - High Fidelity = great book

 Ok, good scenes in movie:
Marathon Man  - where the nazi dentist is pulling out Dustin Hoffman's teeth...makes me cringe just thinking about it

Requiem For a Dream - Pretty much every scene...freaked the crap out of me...i will never watch it again, but i'll recommend it

Mike Meyers as his father talking about "the well known fact" that is the Pentaverate [sp?] in  So I Married an Axe Murderer

The second iteration of  Run Lola Run

 The car chases in  Ronin

I'll probably get made of here..but i love the opening sequence of the first Austin Powers

The dinner scene in Better Off Dead "franch fries, franch bread, franch dressing, and Peru!"

 "Wheel of Fish" in UHF

ok, i can't think of any more

You should read Fever Pitch too, despite the fact that it's about an Arsenal fan.  I read both Fever Pitch and High Fidelity once a year.

There's a bundle of favorite scenes in The Graduate.  A few that come to mind are...

Ben is walking through the hotel with Elaine and everyone calls him Mr. Gladstone.

 The entire wedding scene.

Ben's encounter with the hotel desk attendant.

How about:

12 angry men, when he brings out the knife and stabs it into the table....

The return of the King, where the woman chops the head off of the dragon and then kills the witch king....

i thought of a few more last night, all from one movie. . .

in the blues brothers. . .

1)they are at the fancy restaurant to get mr. fabulous to join them, and belushi turns to the table behind him and says "how much for the women?  i want to buy your women" in a really sleazy accent.

 2) ray charles shoots at a kid trying to steal a guitar. . .

 3) steven spielberg as the cook county clerk on lunch break
