I'm not going to answer that one. You guys are the competition now, and I want there to be something left when I go there Friday after work.  :p

Plus, it's really just my opinion, which may differ from yours or those of others!

Based on my visit to each of those this past Friday, only one has anything worth driving back for.

Hmm. I was there Wednesday and the sign said 9 days. Did they add a day or just forget to change it to 7 when you were there?

BTW, it was 70% then. Anyone know what it is now?

I went yesterday and expecting to pay 30% but when I got to the register, the guy manually entered $1 for each of the CDs I bought...

Dunno.  Steny's post backs-up the 12/22 date though.   Use at your own risk.

Rockville had $1 bins, full of things they have multiple copies of.  Check the $1 bins first.  The staff doesn't always know what's $1 and what isn't, so you may need to point out that you got something from the $1 bin.

At this point, you could probably tell them anything and they'll believe it, or they just don't care.  Friday someone entered $0.00 for one of my cds and said "Merry Christmas".

hmmmm - I hope I didn't just get them fired.   Oh, wait...

I was at Rockville and saw the same 8 days sign Chutney saw. That's what I'm going by.

 Fairfax had 12/22 posted.

I called Vienna and they told me Friday. I called Foggy Bottom, and they told me Wed.

Beware, it's possible that any of them may close early on their last day, as the Alexandria store did yesterday.

don't be silly - you're supposed to be personally insulted that we don't share your opinion and then start several threads trying to convince us that we are wrong.

Nah, at this point I'm actually surprised when anyone on this board admits to sharing the same opinion as me.  :)

Yeah, aren't they supposed to say "Happy Holidays?" That's what Bill O'Reilly tells me and I believe everything he says....

hmm. Maybe if Tyson's has it, I'll pick it up.
Surly - the food? The Thai restaurant down the way is yummy.

Hmm..Does does this solve the riddle?
I was at Tyson's on Friday, the sign stated "12/22". Same with Fx on Saturday. (hardly any books remain, magazines 95% at Fx, btw. Oh, but still some porn and action figures and those silly bins for gift cards. TVs above posters for sale!)

The sign at Tysons says the last day is Thursday and that we will be closing around 5pm (maybe earlier).

I know because I made the sign.

Fairfax closes Friday. Again, at 5pm or earlier.

 I made that sign too.
