i didn't say i trusted the government (i mean, why on earth is the fdic still supporting the govt. backed citi deal for wachovia, when wells fargo is set to buy wachovia without a government guarantee; that doesn't make sense). . .i simply stated what the law says. . .and who ultimately bears the final burden on any of this stuff anyway?  the taxpayers.

and thanks to sweetcell for providing the correct number.

I'd take you up on that if I had a way to get down there at such short notice.

 But alas, I do not.

I heard the 9:30 was using a 'newish' sound system?  Is this true?  The side speakers were muted apparently and I thought the sound was really unbelievable.  Great set, great energy and again the 9:30 staff  were friendly.  Also, after watching the tour DVDs released last year, I had high expectations.  My expectations were certainly met last night.

Yep...Brand new PA.

And the kick drum issues sounded as though they had been fixed.

I thought the sound was good, though the bass guitar was a bit boomy on a few songs, mostly the quiet ones.

Sounded great both last night and tonight.

With the exception of perhaps "Tupelo," I thought Sunday night's show was a little more intense than tonight's show, though maybe it was just me?  "Mercy Seat" in particular seemed much more subdued tonight. Still a great show though. Tonight's show made up for the decreased intensity with a longer encore, including the surprising gem "Your Funeral, My Trial." Most of the main set was the same, except they nixed "Hard on for Love" and moved "Papa Won't Leave You, Henry" to the next-to-last position, as I recall.

Midway through the main set, Nick started to play "God Is In the House", but aborted it after a couple of screw ups in favor of "Love Letter". Nick said (paraphrased): "This song is cursed! Someone must have cast a spell on me. Maybe it's because we're too close to the real thing," referring to the White House, of course. That was fine with me, as it's not one of my favorite NC songs.

took a while to get going, but once things fell into place the band hit on all cylinders.  nick's vocals were WAY too loud in the mix for the first 3-4 songs (until midnight man, if i remember correctly) and nick was occasionally singing out of tune due to the fact that he could only hear himself and not the music.  once they fixed that, it was a top-10-of-the-year show.  crowd was OK, could have been better but can't complain.  show finished just around 11:00 - good long set.

Bearman is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO drunk from drinking most of the red wine from Mr. Cave's dressing room. One of the best nights I've had in a long time. Got a great photo with the Man himself.

Holly can you hear me? I have a signed setlist for you. Fucking great night. Amazing show, despite the booming bass early on. Can I call in sick for work? Pretty please? Thatguy, thanks for letting me get back to my friends. You are a gentleman, a total prince and I heart you forever and ever.

What a fun night...I am so lucky to have had such a great time.

 xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox,

Sounds like YOU had a blast! I'm glad I opted for The Kills in B-More tonight since the setlist didn't vary much on Nick's end.
Woof.
