Top Five Observations From Last Night's Tragically Hip

5. Paul Langlois has the classic canadian mullet.
 4. Bowie covers are always great.
 3. The new album doesn't sound good live either.
 2. Buffalo Sabres fans are more annoying than even Yankees or Cowboys fans.
 1. Seth needs someone to come in and check the A.C.

I don't believe I've ever seen a performer sweat so profusely.

Lux Interior sweats beyond the beyond.

Lights can crank the heat up quite a bit, so if on stage you have a big wash, +10 or more degrees.

I got to the show late and missed them.  I too would have liked to have seen them.

It wasn't just Gord Downie sweating it up -- the whole house was pretty stifling.

My guess is Gordon requested the AC be turned off. Some vocalists request this, the cool air dries out their vocal cords.

Gordon has asked us to turn off the AC before. One time he went into an impassioned monologue about "the arctic wind, sweeping across the tundra" and went on and on until his crew finally figured out he wanted the AC turned off.

Either that, or he wanted a York Peppermint Patty.

Oh god, the new album is AWFUL. Absolutely horrendous! This is coming from a serious Hip fan who has seen the band over sixty times. I'm not going to any shows on this tour so I can spare myself the aural torture of World Container. Container of crap, indeed.

interesting about the no A/C request, cause when speaking to some other people who saw them at the last two shows, they said they were FREEZING and even someone threw a coat on stage...
