Five Fingers Of Funk - Slap Me 5

Diving into their 90s releases when they bit of anomaly with a rapper being backed first by a five piece band and then an added 3 piece horn section.... Definitely early Hip Hop vibes here with the live musicians bring the funk

Looking forward to their re-union album due this year on Kill Rock Stars.

Curiously I found this at a thrift store inside a case for Bob Dylan’s Freewheelin’. I looked for the right case but couldn’t find it.

And if you’re wondering: I can’t tell much difference between this version and the regular version. Truth be told never heard a bad sounding version of this album and the CDs all sound audiophile to me.

This came out a couple of months after Bon Scott died….a bit surprising the Young’s agreed to it…they probably weren’t in a position to say no…only with Back in Black did they break through
