Lazyeyes -- Wait

https://lazyeyesbk.bandcamp.com/track/wait-2

Very slowdive like. Not to be confused with "The Lazy Eyes," a different band.

Always wanted this soundtrack on LP and finally got it. Both Piazzolla and tango singer Roberto Goyeneche were into their fifth decade as professional musicians by 1988 and they pulled it together for film Director Solanas’ self-penned song “Vuelvo al sur” which has become one of the last (if not the last) tango standards. A very moving song about exile and return.

Goyeneche is my favorite tango singer and the last of the acknowledged greats.

This song would definitely make my top 100 songs list.

Just arrived -- box set of Porcupine Tree's Fear of a Blank Planet !

Really nice.... lots of info, beautiful photos in the book...

Six discs.... videos, documentary, includes Nil Recurring EP... this will, take some time.

But I don't think the British authorities understand this album.
It's a good thing they didn't card me!!!

So how are SideCureFan, etc feeling about the new The Cure album?  It's definitely not a first thing on a Friday morning type og album and clearly aimed squarely at the most dedicated fans.  I will admit to preferring the poppier/singles side of The Cure, verses the dark brooding side so this album is not exactly one for me.  Likely a one for headphones at some point.

I bought cd. Record store did not receive LPs yet or I would have bought that too.

My partner was a cure freak as a teen so I can’t just pop it into cd player…

A whole ceremonial must take place

Robert Smith was on NPR this morning. An interview on Morning Edition. He said this is the first of three albums to come out. Ha ha. Sure. Actually says there is a vast archive of 100 unreleased songs. Ha ha

My partner is blasting the interview again. She is hardcore and runs around saying “Robert Smith is God”

The Feeling - Live In London

my one hope is that Sophie Ellis-Baxter brings them along for a US tour as her hubby plays bass in both her band and The Feeling.
