vastly underrated player/composer - there is much more to his music than just "peanuts".

New Decemberists

How is this?  I gave up on them 2 or 3 albums ago, but I've liked the couple of new songs I've heard.

My quick review of the Decemberist's record, is that like the new B&S album, it's a good record but just not one I'll likely listen to in heavy rotation like say the new Dan Wilson or Stereo Twins releases.  It just hasn't hooked me in, thankfully it's not a concept album, just a collection of well written but not necessarily catchy tunes

If you could distill rock and roll to one slab of vinyl.. if you absolutely had to...I think this would be it...very enjoyable first Chuck Greatest Hits compilation..first inclusion of "Back in the USA" on LP form.... and the original black label (which reads "Chuck Berry Twist" as the album was released for a few months under that title) sounds great.... it has the treble the original issues had...before they messed with the sound...
