Got a chance to check out BBC Radio 6 while on vacation and found it so refreshing to hear nicely programmed radio shows.  also because it's part of the BBC's digital radio service, it was like having satellite radio with a subscription.

great set list

Pitchfork described the recording as "bafflingly low-quality", and the gig has supposedly been described by members of the band as "the worst fucking show we ever did".

I don't mind Preston...and I don't think the sound is that bad either. I have a bootleg called "Desperation Takes Hold" from the Paradiso in Amsterdam, and that's one of my favorite recordings. Pretty sure it was broadcast on the radio. I think Ian was showing off for Annik, which was part of why it's so good. Also the fact that they were performing in an old church.

I picked up 45 indie, punk, and Americana cd's plus one Taylor Swift cd, a stack of dvd's and a stack of books at a library book sale, all for $10. That's what I'll be listening to for a while.

Fearless. Early kid review is it's not good, but she hasn't finished it yet. Early Space review is it's not as good as the PJ Harvey Or Portishead that was in the pile.
