The Beatles - Revolver

I've heard good things about that one. What do you think?

Never heard of these guys before....The Paul dude sucks....why don’t they let the dingo guy sing more? The only highlight is definitely yellow submarine...I get they are trying to be hip with the tomorrow never knows (the Phil Collins original blows this out of the water)...and Indian shit but come on! The velvet underground make these guys look like a Norman Rockwell painting....they broke up after this?

Well I love Phil almost as much as Phil loves Phil but the reason today was after hearing the hamfisted cover of tomorrow never knows by those beetles I wanted to hear the original again....

Mike Nesmith of The Monkees assures me vaporwave is awesome.

Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota- Un bajón para el ojo idiota (lp)

Finding two copies of the lp at dc record stores over the past few years is pretty surreal

The other day I was thinking it would be interesting if Teenage Fanclub replaced Gerard Love with Mike Love, and Social D replaced Mike Ness with Mike Nesmith.

Chances of either happening seem not that great.

New order - retro cd3 “club”

As is common knowledge this box set has a lot of issues ....some of the pics in the book are pretty amazing

I got it for $20 with the bonus disc so not too bad

Red soundtrack (Kieslowski movie)

I was very much impressed and affected by the red white blue trilogy...kieslowski’s early but not untimely death (heavy heavy smoker) was a tragedy

The guy who did the music - preisner- went on to be recognized even doing instrumentation:orchestration and charts for Gilmour Pink Floyd and gilmour solo

I am totally not a soundtrack guy or classical music guy but his stuff is jawdroppingly good

Check out "The Decalogue" by the same team. Ten ~55' films for Polish TV, each obliquely inspired by one of the Ten Commandments. Very highly recommended!

Yes...it’s great...lower production values but genius
