I know it's all about personal taste...but Joy Division doesn't suck. I can appreciate someone saying "I really don't like them". That's cool. There are many artists and bands that don't fit my taste, but I would never, ever say that they suck (Blondie being an example...maybe The Birthday Party, whose music never stuck in my head). Of course, I'm sorry to be nit-picky over the word "suck". I just happen to think Joy Division's music has a passion, spark and creativity that borders is absolute genius. It has a realness to it that comes from 4 people whose passion for music couldn't possibly more genuine. Part of being a music fan for me is recognizing if the talent is there, even if I don't enjoy the end result.
