They're totally going to win "it" sooner or later.

ggw is going to be very disappointed when he reads this thread and sees that it's about baseball, and not me...

I'm a big american league fan, but i still think the cardinals will win it all this year.

was that this year?  you Yankees fans are quite the little historians, no?

(note: i do not believe in a curse, so dont bring that up) [/b]
I'm a baseball fan, and as such read a ton on baseball history. I don't think that is exclusive to Yankees fans. Most baseball fans have at least a passing interest in the game's history.

It must be frustrating as a Red Sox fan to deal with history, what without dynasties, being the last team to integrate (in the 1950s!), and the sale of the greatest baseball player of all time to finance a failed musical, but oh well.

The Cardinals look great, but the best thing about their season (for me anyway) was seeing Ankiel back. I'm glad he made it.

BTW Rhett, was I right about the Orioles this season  ;)  ?

I've been able to steer clear of rhett, so in my mind, no, he does not suck.

Yes, they were a game under .500 by June 1, just as you predicted. Good job. But Rome wasn't built in a year.

well they have not been playing all that well lately, and both rolen and carpenters injuries look to be more serious than previously thought, and kline may be out for the playoffs, not exactly the best time for it to happen

Ankiel's curve looks better than it did before the injury

Question to National League baseball fans...

Who deserves the NL Cy Young?

Randy Johnson and Ben Sheets are the best pitchers in the NL, win-loss records be damned.

both league's playoff's have the potential to be really interesting this year.  i'd like to see a cards/giants- cubs/braves in the nl. . .that nlcs could be really good. . .cards/cubs, even giants/cubs.  and the braves. . .well, what about the braves.   :)

Jason Schmidt was the easy choice, but he blew it, I say Randy Johnson
