I thought I'd start a new thread on this topic. Since some of you were curious about this, with the upcoming show... Here's the 'official' word from Debbie, the organizer of R-n-R.
"Hey there, folks. Rock-n-Romp, though intended for parents and kids, doesn't discriminate against the childless who want to come to see the shows. All I would ask is that you respect the space the kids are in (which tends to be all over the place, since that's how young kids roll), and don't try to start any drunken mosh pits. Heh. I will admit, there have been a few *creepy* non-parents who have come to shows and, as a paranoid parent (hey, paranoia is something you have to look forward to when you become a parent!), it freaks me out a bit to see someone like that around the kids and basically invading our turf. It is supposed to be a kid-friendly space where parents can feel comfortable, you know? That said, I will leave it up to you whether or not you want to check it out. It is a pretty fun scene, but come prepared for some wary looks if you appear shady! Thanks, and feel free to email me with any more questions: debbie@rocknromp.com"
