That's a pretty open-ended question.  It's a great place to see a show; the bar downstairs is one of my favorites in D.C.  But beyond that, what would you like to know?  (FYI, I'm not going to Mum -- never heard of 'em)

I've been thinking about maybe attending that show but will probably be in Ocean City that night.

Saw Múm play the Black Cat about 2 years ago. Kurosawa and I met up and very much enjoyed the show. Actually, we both went to see the opening band, Phaser, but wanted to see Múm too. They did surprisingly well there as they are very quiet which doesn't seem to bode well for the Black Cat.

I have the new album and it's pretty good but must be listened to in those reflective and peaceful states of mind.

If you are thinking of going, I would highly suggest that you go. But don't hang out in the back...unless you are one of those very annoying talkers. In fact, if you are, don't even bother to go to the show.

I'll probably go if I'm not working.

thinking about going...by the way the black cat is a great place to see a show - and the red room downstairs is a nice place to hang out.  the crowd is a good cross section of the DC scene: indie kids, punk/hardcore kids, your more sophisticated, anglophile boardie type, usually a bunch of musicians.  and the homeless guy out front.

I unfortunatly wasnt able to make it. I found out Friday morning that i had to go to Philadelphia for the weekend. It sucks I missed it, but theres a couple of upcoming shows in D.C. ill be attending.  And if anyone is interested , Rilo Kiley is playing D.C. in October, not sure where yet (probably 9:30 im guessing).  Hope the show was cool.
