They were pretty good on Letterman, but my girlfriend says she refuses to listen to anyone that wears a hat like that.

Yeah but Grandaddy didn't put out an album until 1996. Sounds like they jumped on the dirty trucker bandwagon of 1992 to me and never got off.

Well, I can only say I hope they're a better opening act then they were as a headliner last time they were at the 9:30.

I love SFA and enjoyed the shows they did at the Black Cat but the 9:30 show was a major disappointment with way too much focus on the video backdrops.

I'd like to know how close the show is to being sold out as well - I held off on buying a ticket until I was sure I could go but don't want to be dissapointed at the door

I've heard that SFA are donning furry animal suits now. The reviews I've heard were mixed. Hard to say with them. They are capable of so much but don't always deliver.

Now Grandaddy, I don't really care about. They are okay but every song sounds the same to me which gives me an over-all dull yawn.

With all that said, I may still go to the show. Haven't decided yet. Obviously, I too would like to know about the ticket situation.

I think the two shows in NYC (at least the one on Friday the 3rd was already sold out last week and they said that the Saturday one was close to be sold out) are sold out now. Maybe the DC show will end up being pretty packed.

I've learned that you can't always go by the NYC shows, which often sell out fast even when ours have plenty of tickets left. But from what Twangirl said, it sounds like it will sell out by some point but maybe not until the night of.

 Thanks Twangirl!   ;)
