Here is my review of Lloyd Cole's gig last night ...
Lloyd Cole took to The Birchmere stage last night at around 8.15 p.m., dressed head-to-toe in black, his salt-and-pepper hair cut short, with his face unshaven. All I could think of was the "Bad Vibes" album cover, and how absolutely gorgeous he looked!
He sat down to play/sing most of the songs, but then stood up later to perform some of the others.
In between his songs he said a few things to the audience, even stopping midway whilst performing to chat to the crowd. I didn't mind; I always love hearing his (speaking) voice.
Here is the setlist:
1. The Song Of The French Partisan (from 1943/1944, also covered by Leonard Cohen)
