don't you have one of those long goatees? and, I already said, that guy's not necessarily fat...but, you do like hockey and are from Canada, now living in Baltimore, right? so the odds are stacked against you, kind of....

and i know MANY more fat people in America than i do in Canada.

you think Canadians are fatter than Americans?  and hockey fans are fat too?

Stop trying to play dumb.

Hockey fans, at least at the games I've been to, have typically been, shall we say, somewhat unrefined in their appearance. Like the guy in the picture. Not that there's anything wrong with that. DC could use a few more mullet wearing, nonpreppy rednecks. Why don't you move on down here?

so how many cities have you seen hockey games in???  Because, as far as the NHL goes, i have seen games in DC, Philly, Pittsburgh, Boston, New York(MSG), Phoenix, Detroit, Chicago, Toronto and Montreal as well as countless college, junior and other hockey games/events, and i can say the mullet wearing redneck contingency is much higher in DC than in most of those other cities (perhaps Chicago is pretty close though).

also, i have been to many NBA and MLB games and the fans there are no prizes. just as many fat asses at the Nationals game as there are at MCI center!

The mullet was bigger in the 1980's. I've been to easily 40 NHL games and never seen a fan with a mullet that I can remember. Nor do I think the average weight of a hockey fan is higher then that of a NFL or NASCAR fan.

You gotta love it when the NASCAR fan starts calling the NHL fans "unrefined."

Just out of curiosity, which major sports league attracts all the "refined" fans?  USTA?  PBA?

I'd imagine if equestrian has a "league" it'd be fairly highbrow.

I appreciated the NFL more after I went this one time and this guy a few seats down kept yelling during every huddle, "Woooo!! They're strategizing!! Think! Think! Think!" He also openly wept about how "beautifully planned" the right tackle performed on a routine block. Really opened up the nuances of the game to me. Still don't understand why he had 3 stopwatches with him, but to each their own.

a sport that just a few years ago had drivers in the "Busch" series and other drivers winning the "Winston" cup.

So, everyone here who is bashing Hanson has actually listened to their music?  Besides what is heard on the radio?  You are making judgments based on actual listening?  Suuuure.

Sheesh, you people.  I don't get it.  They had a pop hit.  They play their own instruments.  They write their own songs.   Why wouldn't their "show" be a concert?

I'd much rather get on the case of someone like, say, The Killers.  They planned and plotted and stole melodies and instrumentation from other bands so they could get laid and be rock stars.  And fucking Brandon Flowers is sooooooo.....fake.

I'll take Hanson over most of these "new" fake-nouveau-retro-insincere bands any day.
