If I wanted to walk from Alexandria to the 9:30 club, I should have left yesterday morning.

i already know that. what i was trying to say is that yesterday, on wmata.com they listed at what time to expect your train since they were running only every hour, and then only every two hours so you weren't waiting in the station and could plan better. i don't want to get there only to find out i just missed a train.

quote:
Originally posted by steelcuda:
Metro is running trains only once an hour and with limited service.

I assume it was a cover..
there were probably about 400 people there. i was front and center since i got there so earlier (as chance would have it, i waited only 15 minutes for the metro) phaser was decent and i liked the acoustic approach. simian bored me. and i had to laugh when i heard some girl scream "english boys are hot" whilst i was thinking, damn, this has got to be one of the worst looking bands i've seen. ladytron was good, but i enjoyed the second half much better. i wasn't a fan of the chopppy lyrics and the second half was more melodious and fluid.
random question, anyone know the name of the song the dj played right after simian left the stage? its a favorite electronica song of mine but i just can't recall the artist.

Ladytron was a great show throughout, it was better than I expected since their songs sort of tend to sound the same after a while. I thought the two chanteuses seemed a bit reserved and shy, but that's understandable it being their first US tour. And 2 encores, what a treat! (did you hear the guy yell out 'who does your hair?' haha)

yeah, that was funny. btw, were you down in the back bar before the show started, with another girl and a guy? at the end of the bar?
and i think another bber was standing next to me with his girlfriend and another couple during the show. they had accidentally displaced the couple that was standing next to me who had put their coats on the barrier but then gone to get food. when they came bak, they ended up getting bumped about 6 feet down. sorry to you two, i did a crap job of holding your space and i thought those 4 were just standing there and were going to let you move back into your spots since your coats were there.

quote:
Originally posted by Dandy01:
(did you hear the guy yell out 'who does your hair?' haha)

[This message has been edited by lily1 (edited 02-18-2003).]

hmm, two girls put their coats on the barrier next to me (right side of stage) and then never came back for them the whole show.....it was kind of strange, as i thought they were putting them there to "secure" their spot...but never came back, heh.
the hair comment was pretty funny.

By the way, props to the 9:30 staff for allowing patrons of the show to park free in their lot!
