But the Jim and Pam thing?  It just totally ruined the show.  The part at the beach last week made me physically uncomfortable.  "The Office" is a comedy about the office place.  It's not "Moonlighting."  It's not "Ed."  It's not about unrequited love. [/QB]

But they knew when to end the British series. I think the Jim and Pam thing is tired, but the rest of the American version is still funny.

Dawn and Tim didnt get together until after the second series, British series was shorter, but still same timeline

I loved the British  version and Ricky Gervais likes to end his series while on top.  The Office - 2 seasons and done and now Extras - 2 seasons and most likely done, from what he has said.
 
 The American verison, in my opinion has actually gotten funnier each season and some of this seasons episodes were the best.  But it will be interesting to see if the show goes downhill if Jim and Pam get together.
