i know this is way late, but just as an fyi it was part of the highline festival (the one bowie curated) and was at highline ballroom.
long story relaxer - but i ended up leaving early. was doing a 6 mile walk (AIDSwalk) on sunday morning nice and early. i left about half way into the set i guess. i remembered liking them a lot more the first time i had seen them (opening for interpol), and i might have just been really tired, but really didnt care for them. the drummer revealed what looked like a brand new drumset. it sounded really great. each song was running the gamut of nearly 10 mins and i normally dig that stuff, but wasnt working for me. they did sound really good tho.
highline ballroom is a pretty great place. i like it even more since its nearly on 10th Ave (which i live on) and so its easy to get to
and i believe its all ages, because i didnt see them checking ID at the door. So I guess thats good for all the younger folk of NYC who cant get into a lot of shows.
