I had a great weekend on my new bike, though didn't get out as much as I hoped.  Probably spent about 4 hours in all hauling the kids around in the trailer and they loved it.  I had no idea of the extent of the network of trails just a 5 minute ride from my house in Arlington.  My legs don't really hurt at all, but my ass does from the seat!

I've barely ridden the thing at all without hauling around the 70+ pounds of kids and trailer, but I'm looking forward to going on a good long ride to Mt. Vernon or something in the next few weeks.

In short, I love the new ride and hope I've found a new hobby that I'll enjoy for a long time to come.

uh-oh...he's hooked!   ;)

Cycling shorts! I hope you invested in cycling shorts. I know they look a bit retarded unless you have the body of a Calvin Klein model, but they are a must if you value your arse and have any intention of being able to get erections in the future.
